Join Us for Community Christmas Caroling

Join your friends and neighbors in the beauty of historic WinMock at Kinderton this Sunday evening, December 9th, for the perfect event to get your Christmas spirits in high gear! Church of the Good Shepherd, a new church organizing in East Davie County, is hosting a free Community Christmas Caroling event beginning at 6:30 p.m. There will be a reading of the Christmas Story and singing of classic carols that we all know and love. Desserts, coffee, hot chocolate and apple cider will be provided.

Church of the Good Shepherd in East Davie County is being organized as a mission of Christ Church, Winston-Salem. Both are part of the Anglican Church in North America and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Church of the Good Shepherd will begin services in January, 2013, at WinMock at Kinderton.

Joining Church of the Good Shepherd as co-hosts are WinMock at Kinderton, the Clemmons Courier, the Davie Enterprise-Record, Macedonia Moravian Church, Calvary West, M. Gioeli Photography, Master Counsel Technologies, and Sterling Events.

We hope to see you in the Loft on Sunday!

A Giant Thank YOU

We want to extend a giant thank you to the hundreds of you who joined us for our Anniversary Event and Food Drive! Together we collected over 1,400 pounds of food to stock the shelves of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. Your generous donations will help feed hundreds in need this summer. Summer is a critical time for donations as many children go hungry without the aid of government supported school lunch. We appreciate you taking time out of your Sunday to help us make sure those needs are more likely met.

Katelyn Marks Performing at WinMock’s One Year Anniversary!

We hope you have your calendars marked for JUNE 10th friends! 

It’s our big Sharing the Abundance, One Year Anniversary Open House here at WinMock! We hope to see your shining faces here from 2:00pm – 5:00pm as we collect donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. Come  join us for a peek inside the barn one year later and help us share the abundance for a vital community cause.

Just confirmed!  We’re delighted to announce that local recording artist (and WinMock bride!) Katelyn Marks will be performing on our East Terrace during the event!

We just know big things are on the horizon for this talented songbird. We knew it from the day she said “I Do” at the barn.  Come “hear her here first”! 

Admission = One bag of non-perishable food to help feed our neighbors.

Debuting This Winter : The Granary at WinMock

Friends, you spoke and we listened.  While we originally had plans to transform the small granary barn at WinMock into offices for the growing team over at our parent company, Sterling Events Group, we have since decided (with your encouragement – thank you!) to transform the small barn into a second special events venue.

We are delighted to share that The Granary at WinMock, an intimate setting filled with historic character and rustic elegance, will debut this winter.

NC Barn Event Center – Before And After Video

Our good friends, Ellen Moore of Coldwell Banker Commerical (broker for Kinderton Place and Kinderton Commercial Center) and her husband, Richard, treated us to a neat video they put together which gives a wonderful look at the barn before and after renovations.  We enjoyed it so much we wanted to share with you.  What a journey it has been!  Enjoy.

NC Outdoor Wedding And Barn Reception – Dawn + Patrick

After a stormy start to our wedding season, the skies finally parted to give way to our first official outdoor wedding at the barn.  Bride, Dawn, her groom, Patrick,  and their family and friends brought a wonderful energy to WinMock and shared not one but three events with us during their wedding weekend: rehearsal dinner in the Forsyth Room, wedding ceremony on the East Terrace and wedding reception in The Loft.

Kristen + John : An Extra Special I Do

We have often said our booked WinMock couples were visionaries.  They saw past a dusty old barn and could imagine what WinMock would become.  Kristen and John were certainly not an exception as they signed on as our very first WinMock wedding.

An interesting note: Kristen’s father, architect Michael West of West and Stem Architects, PLLC, was our lead architect on the barn renovation and played an integral role in our historic preservation.  What an extra special moment for us to not only celebrate our first wedding but to do so with a family that has been with us along the way.

Three Thousand Guests and Counting – WinMock Weddings, Meetings and Events Underway!

Since the official ribbon cutting on May 26th, more than 3,000 guests have come through our doors at WinMock! 

We have had three weddings, a rehearsal dinner, a non-profit gala, a community open house, a chamber breakfast and tonight, a barn full of Little League supporters.
