It’s our big Sharing the Abundance, One Year Anniversary Open House here at WinMock! We hope to see your shining faces here from 2:00pm – 5:00pm as we collect donations for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina. Come join us for a peek inside the barn one year later and help us share the abundance for a vital community cause.

Just confirmed! We’re delighted to announce that local recording artist (and WinMock bride!) Katelyn Marks will be performing on our East Terrace during the event!

We just know big things are on the horizon for this talented songbird. We knew it from the day she said “I Do” at the barn. Come “hear her here first”!

Admission = One bag of non-perishable food to help feed our neighbors.

April 25th: Empty Bowls Event benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW North Carolina
Millennium Center – Downtown Winston-Salem
11:00am – 2:00pm
Sterling Events Group, owners of WinMock will be a sponsor again this year and we cannot express how much we love this event. Great local artwork, great local food, great community gathering and best of all, supports a great local cause. We hope you’ll join us there! Tickets on sale here.

April 26th: Administrative Professionals Conference
WinMock at Kinderton
8:00am – 2:30pm
Of course we won’t be missing this one. We’re delighted to be the backdrop of this year’s annual event for Wake Forest University’s Administrative Professionals Committee. Organizers have plenty of fun in store for attendees and our friends at Sterling Events Group will be on display along with a super group of area businesses showing off our latest work. All attendees are encouraged to bring (5) non-perishable food items to support the food bank and we’ll be handing out two free event rentals to two lucky folks. Learn more here.

April 27th: Women In Business Expo
Embassy Suites – Downtown Winston-Salem
10:00am
We’ll be joining up with over 300 dynamic women in business and civic leaders for this can’t miss Triad networking event. Come early and enjoy networking and stop by the expo where we will be on display. Then stay for the luncheon and awards ceremony where the Triad Business Journal will be celebrating the outstanding contributions of the Triad’s leading businesswomen. Happy Friday friends! How was your week? It was a big, beautiful, boisterous one here for us. And it just so happened to include an exciting announcement for our friends at Rebecca Rose Events and Amy Lynn Originals for an inspired project they worked on here at our little ol’ granary barn.

The ladies were featured on the Southern Weddings blog as a finalist for their Ultimate Southern Challenge. The theme was burlap and you just have to see what these talented two created. Even better, they created a step-by-step pictorial for you {here} . Inspired to get crafty now? We are!

Vintage Barn Wedding Shoot with Carisa Chee Photography And Nouvelle Soiree {Winston-Salem NC}

What can we say. The fall season just got away from us. It was a delightfully busy time of warm colors, sweet weddings and gala events. We even secretly, in the midst of it all, found time to spend a few hours to play with our friends at Carissa Chee Photography and Nouvelle Soiree for a vintage styled bridal shoot.

And now we have a confession to make. We have been holding these beautiful photos captive since this past fall, hidden for only us to admire. That is, until today.

Join us, won’t you, as we look back at the beautifully styled elements from this creative ensemble – from florals to tablescapes to hair, makeup to the photography itself. You might even find some spring inspiration for your own special shoot to come…

Wow friends. December is off to an incredible start. Medical meetings, association dinners, corporate events, some stunning weddings and holiday parties galore!!! It truly is the merriest time of the year.

The Granary at WinMock Now Open {Winston-Salem Special Event Venue}

Ladies and Gentlemen. Boys and girls. It’s official. The Granary at WinMock is now open for rentals and WE cannot stop gushing about how much we love having this new space to share, just steps away from WinMock (a.k.a. the “big barn”).

On November 17th, the Granary (a.k.a. the lil’ barn) welcomed her first visitors for an intimate gathering of staff, crew members, local officials, clients and meetings professionals.

Historic character mixed with modern conveniences.

The soaring wooden beam work adds a special feeling to this event space.

Wayne Thomas, president/owner of Sterling Events Group (developers of WinMock at Kinderton) discusses The Granary's beam work with Carolyn McManamy, president of the Davie County Chamber of Commerce.

Michael West of West and Stem Architecture, PLLC discusses the project. West was the lead architect on both The Granary and WinMock at Kinderton.

Paula Thomas, owner and wife of Wayne Thomas, president of Sterling Events, with WinMock managing director, Tabatha Renegar.

Buddy Seymour, president of Windsor Commercial and wife explore the space. Windsor Commercial was the general contractor on this project and the main barn.

The flexible space, filled with historic character and rustic charm, is an ideal setting for meetings, teambuilding events, seminars, conferences, retreats, group luncheons, private dinners, retirement parties, wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, gosh, the list goes on and on…

With soaring wooden beam work, carefully designed zoned lighting, and full wired and wireless connectivity, The Granary is a charming alternative for smaller groups. The event space accommodates groups up to 160 (theater seating).

Tabatha Renegar , managing director of WinMock, shared “We have already received a tremendous amount of interest for 2012 bookings and just like with WinMock, many clients contracted before renovations were even complete.”
